What would YOU do with your starting QB's return this year "up in the air"?

Rattay eats dog anus. Gradkowski is too green but might work this year as a #2 based on apparent intangibles and what is apparently a solid early grasp of their playbook. So there is not much of an option on thier current roster.

    Possible options -

In their current desperation Drew Henson could possibly be brought in for a look but when he is at the top of the QB scrap heap it’s pretty bleak.

There is talk on their board of trading for Garrard. However, I don’t see the Jags parting with him. Same with Schaub (the falcons want a #1 and a #3 I believe . . . Like that’s gonna happen)

Zona has their #1 and #2 and as I remember Navarre is/was a decent ball control guy but he may not be enough of a fit in TB.

With Brunell doing so well and as high as some are in DC on Campbell Todd Collins might be a possibility.

The Jets would probably part with Ramsey at this point but would Tampa go there?

IMO their best bet might be either Holcomb or Nall (more likely) from the Bills.

    opinions?

0-3, I'd get the cheapest guy and hope to suck more than Oakland.

Buccaneers | Gradkowski to take over starting QB role
    Mon, 25 Sep 2006 10:25:05 -0700

Buccaneers.com reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie QB Bruce Gradkowski will now assume the starting quarterback duties heading into Week 4 now that QB Chris Simms (spleen) is out indefinitely. Simms remains hospitalized after having his ruptured spleen removed. Quarterback Tim Rattay now assumes the primary backup role. The club is also anticipating the return of QB Luke McCown (knee), who is currently on the PUP list.

Buccaneers | Injury update: Chris Simms
    Mon, 25 Sep 2006 09:40:20 -0700

Updating an ongoing story, Buccaneers.com reports Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Chris Simms (spleen) will continue to be hospitalized for another three or four more days as he recovers from a procedure to remove his ruptured spleen suffered during Week 3. Head coach Jon Gruden said that Simms' injury was not career threatening, but noted that he could possibly miss the remainder of the 2006 season. "My information tells me that potentially he is out for the season because of the injury of this magnitude," said Gruden. "To do the right thing, it might not be wise to ask him to come back and play in Week 13 or 14. Those are thoughts that are in my mind, to make sure this man heals correctly and has a chance to come back and play at full speed like he's capable of playing." The club is now expected to start rookie QB Bruce Gradkowski heading into Week 4.
