that's your opinion. Mine's that he was good, and didn't have the problems you're suggesting overthrowing guys. We both know where each other stand, of course, but I'm really not looking to be corrected on what's right to think.

Fine, but you're wrong and you're only saying it because you're annoyed that I've been critical of Delhomme. ;)

    (I'm teasing you there, fyi)

No, actually I'm the one with an excellent record of unbiased evaluation, while you're the one with a lengthy record of being biased, either for/against the player/coach or simply against me for saying something. In either case, the facts back me up on Delhomme not having a "good game," while your only recourse is to pretend that I said he was awful, which I didn't.

there really aren't 'facts' to back up that "decent" is acceptable but "good" isn't, but I also never stated that you said "awful". And it's literally like squeezing a boulder for you to state positive things about Delhomme. I honestly believe you dislike him. But that's just my opinion. Or I'm misreading you and it's that you don't like that other people value Jake more. I don't know, I guess it doesn't matter.

Two fumbles, 4 of 11 on throws beyond 10 yards, near interception by Torrie Cox on a telegraphed out route, etc. Yeah, there really are. "Good" was an unrealistic appraisal that you only voiced to be an irritant to me. Congratulations, you got what you wanted.
You implied it when you said, "yeah, 4 catches isn't going to make him look like a worldbeater when he was awful, since he wasn't awful."
It's really, really not. This isn't even about my opinion of Delhomme, as you certainly know that I have a lengthy history of being accurate in my assessments of players. You know, for instance, that I was correctly highly critical of Peppers early last season even though I like him a hell of a lot, and that I took no end of grief from people for that, but was eventually proven correct. I also was correctly highly critical of Morgan, and was proved correct. The list goes on and on.
You've been accusing me of this for years now, even though I have written glowingly about Delhomme in national print. I called for him to be the starter in '03, I've always praised his playoff success, and I've always given him credit when he deserved it. This isn't even about Delhomme, though, it's about me and trying to paint me as someone biased against certain players because it still rankles you that people remember you for being biased in favor of guys like Jeff Lewis and George Seifert.

nope, it was neither unrealistic, nor looking to get you irritated. Just my opinion. And remember, you came to me about it, to "correct" my opinion.

I implied he wasn't awful. That's all. Not everything's a vendetta or about the past. I believe you have a bug up your ass about him that no one else here does. That's the long, short, and intermediate of it.

Delhomme's completion rate was top 5 in the NFL this week and top 3 in yards thrown. Two of the QBs ahead of him in completions both had 3 INTS and threw for less yards.(E Manning and Hasselbeck).

Delhomme was in NO way a problem today. The fumbles are a result of little to no pass protection and one of the worst running games in the league. Foster averaged 4 yards a carry, but that was because of a couple 15 yard runs averaged with a bunch of 1 yard runs.

On another note...Smith had 112 yards and atleast 8 first downs....right at a third of the Panther's offense and did I mention the time of possesion was almost 10 minutes in the Panther's favor? :apfbbt: :apfbbt: :apfbbt:

Yeah, I did, so I won't blame you for being pissed about me "correcting" you, but you needed to be corrected. Saying Jake had a "good game" was dumb, honestly.
No, you know I'm not the only one who is critical of Delhomme. Re:
Moreover, you're the only one who has expressed that Jake had a "good game." Furthemore, you have never been able to show where I have been unreasonably critical of Jake. Not once. You just accuse me of it whenever it suits you, but you never actually show how I was being unreasonable because I always argue from the facts. Plus you ignore all the times that I've praised him, because that doesn't suit your campaign to make me seem as irrationally biased as you've been with other players and coaches.

I can't explain why Delhomme's throws were lower and more on target this week, but to me, they were. Collin was right in that it probably wouldn't have made Jake's throws better last week, but he and I disagree about how they looked this week and even how short "short" is, so who knows.

    I'll take him.
