He was tackled pretty much immediately. Sure, he fell forward.

He caught the ball on Carolina's 49 and went down on Tampa Bay's 45. I just looked at it again and have it freeze framed where KJ makes the catch. Seriously, I'm not bullshitting. And yeah, the lack of intermediate notation is annoying, but most of the time they're good about splitting attempts at under and over 10 yards. The vast majority of Jake's completions and yards came from attempts of under 10 yards, which is fine, but it's then wrong to suggest that Jake's completion percentage shows that he wasn't high today. Many people were bitching many times about Jake's high throws in the chat, so I know it isn't just me being biased.

not if they're calling this and most everything "short". There were a lot of intermediate throws and I wouldn't call <10 yards "short".

I don't think the completion percentage was the argument. That he hit on 60% was nice, but the end result is that he didn't throw many high and it looked like a lot of the high throws were throwaways. Too many, but if he's attempting to throw the ball away, which it seems he is, it's better than more sitting in the pocket staring.

Yeah, and I don't believe any of the ones that sailed put us in serious jeapordy. Maybe the one that Allen could have gone for, but went for the hit instead.

It wasn't great by any means, but he sucked it up and made some big plays for us.

Actually there really weren't. As you yourself have noted, we don't feature the intermediate throws much in this offense. They obviously got the designation wrong on that one play, but I doubt they got it wrong for most, especially since my impression was also that we threw short a lot.
No, he threw plenty too high and they weren't at all throwaways. As I noted, we were bitching repeatedly about it in the chat, but overall he had a decent game.

that was stated before we got Keyshawn, in relation to getting him. Luckily, we use him that way. If Smitty got 50 yards of RAC or more, that's Smitty. Those are still yards. I know Keyshawn couldn't have gotten 25, but they count regardless.

Chat? Where the coaches get fired ten times a game?
And I said "good". You said "decent". I don't see the big deal in the difference.

Not that I believe the announcers, but the pbp guy said into triple coverage on one of his catches. I saw 3 guys there. It was a pass over 10 yards, I think.

And KJ had 1 guy with him on all his catches. Those guys were somewhere. I can't guarantee they were on Smitty, but I bet they were. KJ didnt seem to be nearly as lightly covered as the game went on.

I don't know that even chat can make up instances where Jake sails a throw that he didn't sail a throw. It's not like you can bitch about it happening if the throw wasn't actually overthrown. Anyway, Jake being decent, still having trouble overthrowing his receivers downfield, not making any huge plays aside from the 4th down run, and fumbling twice does not equal good. That's the point.

Triple coverage almost never even happens in the NFL, and you'll certainly never see it from Tampa Bay. It's also worth pointing out the difference between assigned double coverage and incidental double coverage. In the NFCCG, Seattle often devoted two guys to Smith regardless of where he lined up on the field or what route he ran. Meanwhile receivers running corner routes are routinely "double covered" just because the safety is assigned to help on the deep man. So Smith freeing up other receivers happens when he draws assigned double coverage, which Monte Kiffin didn't use against Steve last year either.
