I made the right call, they liked him and they drafted him.

At this point I'd drop Colbert and go sign Charlie Rogers. I mean hell, if we're going to have an underachiever, at least have an underachiever who has some upside.

I actually think Colbert is pretty good. They should have just called his show Daily Show II but other than that, no complaints.

Did Colbert and Carter make any catches in the game? Is it their fault for not getting open or the line's fault for giving Jake less than two seconds to throw the ball.

Colbert did not have a catch. Carter had 4 catches for 34 yards and one costly drop. As for protection, I don't get why some of you are so concerned with absolving Delhomme of blame. We only gave up two sacks in 33 pass attempts, and both were the result of problems in blitz pick-up. Meanwhile Minnesota gave up 5 sacks in 31 attempts and Brad Johnson sure seemed able to deliver the ball anyway.

I think I pretty much hate Delhomme. I wish he would stop spazzing out and jumping around and throwing his helmet every time he fucks up.

I guess I can forgive Jake's transgressions because QB appears to be like #4 on the John Fox checklist. But that only goes so far...

agree . .. unfortunately. He is reminding me more and more of the coddled only child of the richest dude in town. Every other parent at the sandlot games would like to go light up that brats butt when he throws his silly temper tantrums. BUT no one is going to do (or say) a damn thing because the spoiled bastard is the quarterback AND the rich guys son.
I don't care how passionate Jake may be, or how much he wants to win, can't he learn how to at least pretend to compose himself? It's getting embarrassing
