The good news is that I don't think our family has anymore upcoming birthdays. The Atlanta game was on step dad's birthday and today's game was sandwhiched between my step daughter's & my dog's but I think we're done!!!

The line, for what it was, did a respectable job through three quarters, mostly in protection. Should have been good enough to win, until we fucked ourselves in the ass.

Very pleased with DeAngelo, and I'm glad we're using him at wideout. This offense needs that playmaking ability on the outside.

The d-line was a terror for the better part of the game. They had a few decent runs, but we did an okay job containing Taylor.

Keyshawn is doing his part. Carter needs to make the easy catches, as well as the tough ones.

I think the run D will be complete once Diggs is healthy. I like Draft, but he is horribly out of position at WLB. Na'il fits the run very well, perhaps better than any of our other LB's. And he can't be any worse in coverage, either.

Yep, we should have won this game. My heart goes out to guys like Peppers, Jenkins, Lucas, and anyone else who did their part, only to have us screw the pooch on special teams. We are getting closer, although it's taking longer than I imagined it would, and we will have another good shot next week.

Yes it was. Especially after Hutchinson destroyed him in the Champioship game. Maybe Carstens just isnt strong enough to play most of a game. Or maybe he's just continued to improve.

Of of the really bad running plays early was over Lewis. Maybe they figured out HE SHOULD NOT BE ON THE FIELD except on clear passing downs.

I was also very excited about D. Williams, and Peppers was just spectacular. It wasnt just against RBs and young OTs either. He had a sack, or a good play, against McKinney too, lined up on the right.

I didnt see pressure from Gross's side, so he must have done OK.

Jake is realizing Keyshawn is a good person to throw to.

Both Tackles played fine, minus Fordam's false starts.

You can't be good enough to split a doubleteam and not improve some. Granted, it looked like the pair were pushing at different angles, and that's an easier way to split them. The two double guys have to be pushing at the same direction. Carstens will be a good vet backup and I hope he clears through RFA, too.

Lewis was getting bullied around a little, yes, it seemed. He'll never get his hands right and he probably will never have the good technique of a Rucker.

Pep had a sack AND at least one BJ knockdown over the RDE spot. I'm not yet sure why they switched the pair but Pep looked out of this world over there. He excels against finesse guys, which was always the argument to put him over there. Rucker was also very good out that side, with what I felt should've been a half sack and I believe he had a couple knockdowns and a stuff. That was a good tackle he was out there against.

Fordham and Jenkins were ones I really worried about. It never really occurred to me to worry that the young guys might have problems, but guards often dont'. Jenkins' early jump really got me concerned we'd be over that bullshit all day, but he settled down some. The Vikings really could've tried to pull him offsides more.

The play by Cartsens was impressive. One caveat, though. It looked to me that the guy on the left (didn't note if it was Hutchinson or Birk) released/slid forward to pick up an incoming LB or Safety. Still, at that point, Carstens had already started splitting the two.

It was Hutchinson on the left, but no, he didn't. Carstens just pushed him off.
