    The ref ducked away from the play and I could easily believe Marshall's view of the ball was blocked enough to not be able to adjust. Still a dumb shit call. Gamble isn't a QB and that deep on your side you don't pull that shit unless you're up 14 or more - or down and desperate neither of which applied.

    from the way i heard it, Fox didn't necessarily 'call' the play. he just knew about it beforehand and didn't poo poo it.........

    Whoever is ultimately responsible just cost us the game and made us start off 0-2. Not only that they wasted a heroic effort by our defense and especially Peppers.

    He should have poopoo'd it BIG TIME. Now I get to spend the week going over that old debate of which is worse - getting your ass handed to you or shooting yourself in the foot?

    Maybe next week we can add a third issue to it - or blowing the opponent out - PLEASE!

    TO me, trick plays are for the start of the game or when your back is against the wall or when you're blowing someone out and just want to practice those kinds of plays. It surprises me because we tend to be so conservative.

    true enough. Granted, he threw it poorly, and made the wrong read. Good enough for me.

    I don't believe that "what the fuck was that" is all we'd have gotten from Fox if anyone had done anything without his permission.
