why did it take this long for someone to say Foster? Good job.
This is the best possible answer. Biakabutuka might not have been all-world, but when he was healthy, he was what he was billed as. Tons of other guys made the field. Foster was in a preseason game or two and petered out, leaving us with Randy Baldwin and the waiver wire.

I know what it's like to make fun of tragic things, but I don't think it's appropriate to do so when he was one of our own. I met Fred, and he came to the elementary school where my mom worked to speak with the kids and sign autographs for just about the entire afternoon. He made mistakes in his career here, but he was a golden-hearted kid. I still get sick to my stomach when I think about what happened to him, not because I think about the plays he made for us, but because he was a good person whose life ended far too soon.

you know damn well he had good games against a lot more than just the one team, in the one game.

Hell, he was good the year after the knee...1997, october game against Atlanta. First start of the year, he ran for 100 and 2 TDs. Then he got hurt against Oakland and we saw Lane rip the big game.

C'mon Mags, lets just rip out the big 'Dayum' and give the Fanz a little love here. I don't know much, but I do know failure and Biak21 is the poster child for futility...

It's hard to say that Timmy was a "failure", because shit happens, ya know? He had the makings of beast in college, but hit the injury bug bigtime in the NFL.

The pick itself, in retrospect, was a bust. But calling the man a failure is harsh, IMO. Jason Peter was a failure. Rae Carruth was a failure (much more than Peter, obviously). By all accounts, Biakabutuka was a decent, hard working guy.
