    Big Ben 2004:
2621 yards, 17 TD, 11 INTs...awesome defense, incredible running game...ahead in most games means he didn't have to take many chances, resulting in fewer INTS...big plays off play-action.

    Rodney Peete 2002:
2630 yards, 15 TD, 14 INT...awesome defense, so-so running game...rag arm resulting in more INTS and floating passes resulting in fewer big plays, keep in mind, same number of yards, 2 fewer TDS, 3 more INTs with almost 100 more passing attempts.

    Big Ben = Rodney Peete

We should probably let him get beat before we compare him to the almighty Rodney.

yeah, Ben won 13 games all on his own. Feel free to refute the numbers. Even dig in and compare the rushing games and defenses. Face it, defense has carried Pitt. They've allowed 7 points or less in half of their home games, it takes a real offensive juggernaut like Peyton Manning to win when your defense is that good.

I don't even have to mention the 2 HUGE Bonehead INTS he threw in the biggest game of his career. Maybe the media jumped the gun, and some of us are rational enough to see Ben for what he is. A good game-manager.

He didn't win all 13 by himself. But he didn't lose any either. I don't think the media is comparing Roth with Peyton but just that he is able to step up, and for the most part, show some poise.

Pittsburgh is a very solid team, both offensivly and defensively, but Ben has something to do with that. The team believes in him, and that alone sets him apart from Rodney. They believe he'll get it done.

Granted, doesn't look too good tonight.

Just said he's giving this games paycheck to the tsunami victims. Cool.
