The point is, we knew Willig sucked already. We knew he might be able to get us through the season, and he might not. Take away the false starts and he's not as bad, but say the same about Gross honestly. The sad thing is talking about Gross as "not so bad". What'd Fordham put up?

    here they are:

Carolina's best offensive lineman also was its worst in one statistic. Left tackle Jordan Gross, who has to face opponents' top pass rushers, often with little help, allowed a team-high 6.5 sacks according to Stats Inc. Guards Travelle Wharton and Tutan Reyes each allowed four, and center Jeff Mitchell gave up 3.25. The right tackles gave up 4.5 sacks, with Matt Willig allowing 2.5 and Todd Fordham two. Willig, who started nine games, led the team with eight false-start penalties. Gross had seven.

HB said RDE got 11.5 sacks against us. I haven't looked at the data, but that can be true, but it doesn't mean that on that play that player was Jordan's responsibility.

Put Gross at RT and Willig at LT and see what the numbers would be.
