You know who else can take the top off?

 

I'm into week two.

Not quite a blazing as Ted Ginn, but pretty similar. He's not a guy who's going to win contested balls. He's good at getting down the field and he can create some RAC on shorter passes.

 

He's gotten Norman and Peters a couple of times.

 

Oh man. Allegator Arms towards the end of the KC game on a deep ball. I don't like that.

 

Ok, I watched his film from the first two games of 2017. Here's what I have so far:


- I counted 11 targets. 5 were caught. Three were misses by the QB. Two were drops - one was a clear drop, the other was a difficult high ball off the finger tips. One was a business decision towards the end of a lost game.

- He's fast. Once he's even, he's leavin'.

- Route running is mediocre. He did run a nice deep hook against Washington, did a nice job of selling the 9 route before turning back to the QB, and got 15 extra yards of RAC.

- He's not Hines Ward as a blocker, but he can do enough. Effort when the ball is away from him is questionable. Doesn't do a great job of selling deep routes when the ball is going underneath. However, he does do a solid job of trying to uncover during QB scrambles, something that our receivers suck at.

- I didn't like the business decision on the last game I watched, but I don't think a "soft" player. He's willing to go into traffic. This is also the same guy who played a game the day that his little brother died. Pretty courageous.
