Tepper likes analytics and stats. Here's one for you. With the exception of Bill Cowher, who averaged over 10 wins per season until his Super Bowl, every Super Bowl winning head coach won it in his first five years with the team. Most of them won it in their first three years. Rivera is in his eighth year.

Yeah, it usually runs it's course by about year seven. This is about when Fox plateaued here. These things have crossed my mind.

Between outgoing vets in peppers, Kalil and TD as well as Olsens uncertain status there is going to be some money to be spent. Matt Kalil is getting close to being a cut going into year three.

I am not advocating anything but are there any young hot shot coordinators out there? I'm guessing GB goes after an offensive minded guy.

We are going to get some real change in leadership on the offensive line and at all levels of the defense. May be a good time to see some change on the sidelines too. I like Rivera and think he will get another gig in a minute, but he's been on the Panthers for eight years with a true franchise QB and a generational talent at MLB and still hasn't gotten us over the hump as a franchise. And I like what Hurney's done, but he has had one winning record with Rivera as his coach, so maybe there's a real disconnect between the type of talent he can go get and what Rivera wants to use. Something has to change.

    Sometimes here, sometimes there
To be fair, rivera and co have not thrown ill timed ints, or multiple ints, in relatively close loses over the past month.

Also running multiple plays from the 3 yd line many many times over the past month in losing with no points made.

I don't think this team can be fixed without wholesale changes everywhere and serious acknowledgment of where the real problems, of which there are many, are.
