Please share some tips to quit smoking!

Hello, I am really worried about the dental health of my hubby. Recently, he noticed that two of his innermost teeth on the bottom row seems to be rotting away. Also, he has swellings in the gums. He consulted our family doctor to understand what is happening to him. After examination, the doctor told that the wisdom teeth are stained because of smoking. The swellings may be due to improper oral hygiene that led to gingivitis. He suggested a dental care services in High Park for undergoing the treatment. Also, he advised him to quit smoking. Otherwise, the treatment will not be effective. We are planning to take an appointment at that clinic. I have tried to change his smoking habit. But, he didn't hear me. Now, he told me that he wants to quit this habit. I feel happy about this. But how? I would like to know some tips to quit this habit. Anybody, please share some tips for this. It will be a great help for us.
