Panthers vs Texans Running Commentary

I wasn't displeased for an opening preseason game.

 

I like that McCaffrey looked efficient on inside runs. Byrd looked like a legitimate playmaker, but who knows if that was just a Dante Rosario fluke. Some ofour third stringers look like they might be better than some of our second stringers, and I can't decide if that's good or bad. Hopefully we see some depth chart reshuffling ahead of the Tennessee game.

 

The second team defense, especially LBs and DBs look terrible.

When CJones, TWilliams and DMayo are the best backups, it's concerning.

 

Because we've had guys like Klein and Dan Connor serve as quality depth in the past, I honestly think the team believes that any white linebacker can fill that role.

 

All of those white guys look the same: intense, passionate, slow and week with the same physical build. Even Jones looks the same but smaller. What they lose physically, they still don't quite make up for it mentally. It is what it is.

Klein was ok.

 

Cash was god awful.

 

Wonder how much longer before they pull the plug on that experiment?

 

How in the hell does Colin Jones still have a roster spot other than for special teams?
