    By scaling back, I meant you saw less misdirection and horizontal stuff, plus a willingness to take two yards on a first down carry. It looked a lot more like the Panthers look when the Panthers are contending for Super Bowls.

    You can`t really glean anything from this game because the Panthers were playing a team that didn`t care.

    The only thing they had to play for, other than Thomas, was a 14 win season.

    If nothing else the players seem to like playing for Rivera when they have nothing to play for.
