I'm not ready to give up on the defense. I've seen it in spurts this year.

I would consider sitting CJ for at least a week or two. That wouldn't be easy to swallow and could make us even worse in the short term, but he doesn't have much flexibility right now. He needs to be a healthy CJ for us in the second half of the season.

Tackling is bad and they still practice the "try and strip the ball" philosophy. I'm not sold on that. It seems to result in more missed tackles than it does turnovers.

You should only go for the strip if there are 2 defenders making the play - one to wrap up and tackle, then let the other try and strip it. If you're making a tackle alone, then TACKLE.

25,000 fine for burfict who has a history of crap already.

if this is all you get hit up for might as well start encouraging our players to take out star players as well , oh wait you get suspended for an entire season for that.

As much/often as he's been fined, you'd think the league would realize it ain't working. Heck the player even said he'd continue his "aggressive" play despite it costing him money. Time for a significant suspension. Intentionally hurting opponents makes at LEAST as much difference as illegal drugs, probably more if you're successful in hurting them, and illegal drugs get some pretty serious suspensions. Without the bonus money, this is the same idea as bounty gate.

You know, because of the botched way that dipshit Goodell handled things recently I am not sure they can punish anyone significantly unless it's for domestic violence. Rice got two games for slugging his honey, Burfict getting half of that, well, twisting some ankles just ain't gonna move the needle for the special interests. They'd find a way to twist it around.

His next such penalty is going to get him called to the principal’s office in New York, but there’s no indication fines have modified his behavior.

He leads the team in penalties this year, even though he’s only played one full game.
