    Per KFFL-they have acquired FS Colin Jones from SF. No details yet on who or what they gave up to get him.

    According to a Niners Nation report, the San Francisco 49ers have traded safety Colin Jones -- who played mostly on special teams -- to the Carolina Panthers on Friday for a seventh round pick:

    The 49ers drafted him in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft and he quickly proved himself as a special teams force. He was listed as a safety, but saw no time there last year, and was pretty far down the depth chart this year.
    Jones is a native of Bridgeport, Texas and played his college ball at TCU where he was named to the All-Mountain West Second Team in 2010. For his NFL career, the 24-year-old has appeared in 13 games and has registered just six tackles.

    you can trade up to three years in the future, right? I think i read that somewhere...


    Sherrod Martin gonna play some corner this year? Or are we gonna pick up a castoff like the corner Philly just dumped?


    Also, is the new IR rule gonna possibly let Hogan come back mid season?
