The shit oline has a huge hand in Cams bad day. Norv has helped him alot. Conversely the defense has taken a big step back solely to Washington Today was a knee jerk reaction. They will make permanent decisions on that side of the ball in the off-season and Matt Kalil will be back to his usual turnstile self

 

It is not "kneejerk". The reason you fire Hoke is to put Washington back into his correct position of DL coach. As for the DB decision, it probably had something to do with having co-DB coaches - which was fucking stupid from the onset, as I noted at training camp. Personally, I would have kept the dwarf and fired Ron's college buddy, but whatever. Fewer cooks in the kitchen is probably good.

Rivera made a huge swing and miss with staffing on that side of the ball, but I'm glad he's changing shit up while the team is still in contention. He was one of the best defensive coordinators in football prior to being our head coach. I think we're underestimating how much of a short term difference this could make.
