New WFNZ 'The Drive' Host Lineup

Any guess What DJ the Suit Stout (WFNZ Ops Manager) will tag to be the new 'The Drive' host(s)? It would be kinda crazy to bring back Gerry Valliancourt, but he does have long ties to the Hornets and would be a natural fit since they are the flagship station for the team (but I really doubt DJ would make that move) . . . . . . We'll probably end up with a couple of guys from ESPN U in Ballytyne or retreads from another CBS Radio Market . . .

 

Looks like they were takened by surprise by James leaving. They shouldn`t have been surprised.

 

Just as long as they don't try to promote that Collin guy from the morning show (blatant Tar Heel apologist / sounds like Kermit the Frog).
I wonder if he is the same Collin as the Collin that posts here ?


Bring back Czaban

 

Promoting Collin would be a disaster. He's unlistenable....sounds like he has something stuck in his throat. Plus he's a 'hole fan. I remember when he wrote on the WFNZ blog when the UNC-CH scandals first started to surface. He was basically saying that it was all overblown and no one should make such a big deal out of it. I bet he does feel like a heel now, since the whole affair has turned into the biggest athletic/academic scandal in the history of college sports.

 

I saw Mark Packer recently. That ************ is getting fat again.

 

Brett Jensen hosted 'the Drive' yesterday from CMS . . . . He would be a good candidate to become permanent host, but didn't he recently get hired by FOX SPORTS to be a writer ? ? ?

 

Didn't he promote a trainer/gym during the early days of PRIMETIME W/THE PACKMAN and how he was getting into shape?

 

Most sports talk radio jocks are nomads; Moving from market to market . . . They always have moving supplies (i.e. empty boxes, packing tape, etc.) at the ready . . . They are always looking to move up to the next big market (Im surprised that some of them still buy houses vs. rent!!!!). Im sure Marc James will get on CBS Sports Radio Network full time in the near future . . .

 

New hosts for The Drive start on 6/16 . . . . . Just so ya know . . .
