Giving the best possible player line on the #9. Making an emphasis of getting a 10 year starter regardless of position. Needs were met in FA, that frees draft for best athlete without reaching.

    WR:

    Starting Z is Moose.
    Starting X is Smith.

The new guys are depth. Competition is open. When Moose when down we got into trouble, now we shouldn't.

    QB:

we have 4 of them. Let them goto war at camp.

Leftwich is not a 'non issue'. Left ALL options open in draft, move up, move down, no position out of line if athlete is there.

    Ya know.

When I scramble this whole thread together in my head, I don't think we trade up.

    >> QB: we have 4 of them.

Irene wants to debate him on that point. Right now she can count only about 1 and 17/39's QBs on our present roster.

    >> "If there is a QB there at #9 that we feel is a franchise type guy. Thats the guy we'll pick"

that would make it sound to me for all the world that a stud QB remains his priority -- and lefty is in the running -- no way we would pass on him. i just knew he couldn't be the dumbass some of these mocks would have made him out to be.

    wonder if jake heard that

i gotta ask. why is everyone so down on tuten? i watched last year and am thinking that i thought he was a good as terry -- except he didn't jump or line up offsides every third play. i thought he did a good job in run blocking and suffered some in pass protection but no worse than terry. "good as terry," in a football sense, may not be saying much, but i think we could get by with him.
