I appreciate his accomplishments in years past, but his performance today was as abysmal as the offensive line he runs behind. He’s had numerous rushes for negative yards this season when he runs east to west, and his two fumbles this afternoon were drive killers resulting in points for Atlanta. I’m really wondering whether he’s already given up the ghost in his career.

CMC ran quite well today behind this patchwork front line. In contrast, J-Stew doesn’t hit the hole nearly as quickly. Often, he intentionally hesitates, hoping a gap will open (yet it rarely does). His rushing style compared to CMC’s is quite the dichotomy, as McCaffrey jukes north...and locates any sliver of a hole faster.

At any rate, Stewart is averaging 2.9 yards per run and only has 350 yards in nine games. Unacceptable.

What are our options? Do we continue with a non-productive Stewart, or roll the dice with Artis-Payne? I’m afraid it’s just a matter of time that McCaffrey gets piled-drived for the season by some pissed off linebacker and we’ll have even fewer options in the offensive backfield.

Our running game MUST improve if we’re going to be a playoff contender this year. Either take Stewart to a good hypnotist, or let’s go next man up, whoever it may be. J-Stew may be a detriment at this point rather than an asset.

He runs like a younger man, with nothing held back.

    Admirable, but mistaken.

Split the carries CMC and CAP with the necessary doses of Cam Newton. CAP never touches the ball though he seems to have a little burst more than JSTEW. If the coaches do not have confidence in him which it seems why is he on the team?

Eh, he'll get a restructure/extension to double it in 3 years.
