I'm leaning toward firing both, but certainly Hurney. There's no excuse.

 

Hurney was fired before and only an interim when the fat man left. It should be a no-brainer to replace him with a permanent competent GM. Who then finds a HC if he doesn't want Rivera.

 

I think the mostly likely outcome is a new GM paired with Ron. I don't think that's ideal. I think you should just fast forward the process and let the GM hire his own coach from the get go. But maybe the GM will determine there's no upgrade over Rivera on the market (similar to Chris Ballard's first year in Indianapolis).


If we keep Hurney, Tepper will prove that he's completely full of shit when he talks about the importance of winning.
