    When I was a student 'way back in the day' at UNC CHarlotte, it was merely a dream to have a football team of our own to cheer for . . . Today it took another big step forward as Charlotte 49ers played their 1st Spring Football game . . . Today it was great to be a 49er :D :D !!!!!!!

    14,000 people showed up for a scrimmage. Stadium currently only holds 15,000. So, I'd say fan support was tremendous.
