I watched it last night. It is pretty good. It is big departure from the previous films, especially the recent ones. It is a lot more gritty and realistic than some of the other films. Bond actually gets hurt and bleeds when he is hit. He has just been promoted to double O in this film so he is not as refined and polished as Bond normally is. There are some nice action sequences but not as many as previous films and none of them are way over the top like in the last film when Pierce Brosnan snow boards down an avalance on a piece of tin.

It does tend to drag a little in the middle and the love story is a bit of a chore when you are expecting explosions and car chases but overall I liked it.

She was in Kingdom of Heaven, therefore she's a commie, revisionist, islamofascist.

The gay thing wouldn't make sense. Bond's the ultimate Cassanove love and leave em kind of guy. Half the allure of the series is the Bond girls he gets to screw. All of a sudden he's gay? WTF?

Definately the most like the literary Bond.

They've done all the books now, though most in name only. The next one supposedly picks up where Bond is going after the organization employing the villians of the movie. Which is what he decides at the end of the book, only those are the Russians SMERSH organization.
