An early view of Carowinds (early 1970's) . . Man, I miss the Monorail :( :(

Today I got an email from Carowinds.com and they had a link to a website showing some really old photos of the park in its early years (early 1970's) from a photographers website. I think she also has the promotional film that was made on the park available to folks if they want to buy it for $12 (minus shipping & handling). Man, there was hardly anything out there 'back in the day' !!!!

I haven't been to Carowinds since 85 or 86. They got anything new there?

I went once when I was two. I've had no desire to go back.

Rides suck. Unless they're naked females. And they suck sometimes too. If you're lucky.

Wow. I remember riding the monorail. Not as swanky as Disney's, but not bad.

I didn't know that the monorail, White Lightnin', and the Oaken Bucket were gone.
