    Looks like Miami may be rejoining the likes of Southern California, UNC-Chapel Hill, tOhio State, and Georgia Techs of the world.

    It would seem that way, at least in the ACC. Guess that makes it acceptable and "part of the game" these days. :sigh:

    Shapiro was very proud about being close to some of the U's players, including current NFL players like Devin Hester and Antrel Rolle. He did the things he did because he wanted to be friends with them, and he admitted as much when he spoke to the Herald last year.

    "Once the players became pros, they turned their back on me. It made me feel like a used friend," he said.

    Dang, 72 players. Looks like the Panther's Beason may be involved as well. Shapiro got used and left at the alter once these players got to the NFL. Shapiro's looking at 20 years in prison so he's willing to share the pain it seems. Agents make a mockery of college football but the players share some of the blame. Hate it for Miami's new football coach.

    Looks like the basketball program could be in more trouble than the football team. I've talked to a couple of people who say that some of what he said is true, but there are some serious issues with some of his allegations. How you figure out which are true and which are bullshit is a good question...

    I do think it's interesting that in the past year the football coach, the basketball coach, and the athletic director have all left the university. I'd say that all three of them deserved to lose their job anyway, but it does at least look unusual.
