Strength of schedule means a lot still, especially since Appalachian State may have to now qualify as an at large team instead of being the automatic qualifier from the Southern Conference. Last year's info but still likely current chip...

I was wrong about the SOS thing. I was drunk and it's annoying to hear what sounds like whining about ASU after a loss. ASU plays in what is always considered a top AA conference and if anything I think we would get preferential treatment with a questionable record. Go out and win and you get in the tournament.

why play bigger schools when you can just feast on cupcakes like Wofford Brimley?

    Cupcakes?

Cupcakes? Seeing that it was a conference game, dont you guess we need to schedule Wofford? For the most part the teams in the Southern Conference are good programs and could compete in the mid major D1 conferences. By the way....who is your team?

    Cut Back? No Chance

    South Florida 28 Wisconsin 45 ASU 34
    Elon 13 Citadel 31 Michigan 32

If you don't think the top four teams in the Socon can't compete with Buffalo, Toledo, Temple and Ohio of the MAC Conference(Mid Major Conference) then your the one that's stoned. Better lay off that KB, stuff will make you null and void.

You said compete in mid-major conferences, not occasionally beat the absolute worst teams in D-1A. Yeah, they could do about as well as Temple, but that's no accomplishment. There is no way that even ASU could win the MAAC, much less any of the other three.

It takes more than one win to say that I-AA can compete with them.
