    Not a lot of cap room and I have a bad feeling that Hurney will once again just try to bring back players already on the roster.

    Not having to pay TD his big roster bonus clears some space for 2012...assuming that was factored into the calculations...

    It actually doesn't. Cutting him will cost the team more next season than keeping him would, but it will save a lot of money after that.

    edit:
    Actually I might be wrong about that, depending on how the bonus is applied under the new CBA. In any case, he's going to count $5.6 million against next season's cap if he is cut.

    he's on record as saying he'll restructure his deal in order to stay a Panther, don't think his money will be an issue.

    It doesn't matter, the signing bonus has already been paid and therefore it will count against the cap no matter what restructuring they do. If Hurney wasn't a colossal fucking dumbass they could have just let him play out the final year of his contract this season and then done something.
