No surprises there, though I do believe they didn't need to spent a total of $2 million on tendering three special teamers.

Excuse me for sounding like a novice here, but what the hell does this all mean as it pertains to Spoon. Also, what does this mean about Wesley. I thought for sure he was on the way out.

It means the same as it pertains to all of them. They're each tendered one year contracts, and all the RFAs have the ability to negotiate with other teams. The ERFAs don't.

    Gotcha.

The ERFA is what got me. Now I know. Thanks.

Yep. ERFAs are guys who have less than three years in - most times, two years in, but some guys do get one year deals if they were street FAs.

Panthers retain right to first refusal on all the RFA's and in the case of Spoon and Wesley would recieve draft pick compensation if another team signed them and we didn't match the offer.

And in the case of Spoon, a first (or did they do the 1st and 3rd tender?)

I damn sure hope not the first and third. They give up enough money every year in tenders as it is.

Think it's just the 1st round tender, since it was listed at $1.4M-ish. The 1st and 3rd tender is around $1.8M I believe.
