    - A GM who doesn't try to play 5D chess. They get good players as the draft board dictates. They don't swing for the fences in free agency. They reliably procure talented players.

    - A non-celebrity head coach who delegates.

    - An offensive and defensive coordinator who believe in minimalism. There's nothing special at all about their schemes. Coaching never gets in the way.

    I like how they're built.

Having a QB as good as Rivers doesn't hurt

Whatever. I think he's one of the better QBs in the league.

He's perfect for who they are, but I don't think he's one of the best in the league. He's pretty much worthless once protection breaks down, as we saw for most of that game last night.

Neither are most. I'd put him as top 5 right now. Cam is not even top 10 under pressure or as a passer in general either.

I mean, I wouldn't trade Cam for him right now basically because of age, but he's better than Cam right now, unless your OL is so bad you need a guy who can constantly run/get away from pressure and also is risk of running, which helps the run game with options, etc.

Remember, Rivers has never been a risk as a runner and the rush knows this.

Cam isn't even top 25. He's garbage, and has been since that SB loss.

Not really. He's middle of the road overall.

Not that he's not been great, but he's been pretty bad for 2 seasons now.
