    Had his 5th year option picked up. 8.5 million. When is the latest we could have done this? KB hasn't done enough to pick it up. Here's hoping he'll be 100% and justify this move.

    Gettleman keeps saying how strong Benjamin finished the year, but I don't really remember that happening. He stiff armed someone from Atlanta but that's all I really remember. I guess I see the wisdom in bringing him back for a relatively cheap 5th year but our WRs need to step up in a big way. It's a more pressing need than rb in my mind. Funchess is still young and I suppose has some upside.

    It's only guaranteed for injury and it has to be exercised pretty early. It's the standard fifth year option that all teams have on their first round picks.

    yeah the 5th year option is extremely team friendly. If you're feeling really optimistic it will be a bargain after he has a great year.
