Well, he's a very expensive asset. He's a centerpiece of our team for the foreseeable future. You have to protect guys like that.

Carson Palmer has been unusually terrible at downfield passes, posting a 31.1 passer rating on throws 20-plus yards downfield. The Panthers defense is tied for last in the league in yards per completion allowed. That's not an obvious mismatch either way on paper, but this is probably a "get right" opportunity for Palmer and the Cardinals offense, especially with John Brown set to return.


Things will get better because they always do, but I have a feeling they're going to get a little worse before they get better. I'd love nothing more than to be wrong - it would be great to see that fat, bald fuck suffering in unusually warm conditions whilst Sweet Caroline amplifies within our beautiful stadium - but our severe deficiencies at cornerback, offensive tackle, and our atrocious track record after bye weeks under Rivera all seem like a perfect storm for a rock bottom performance tomorrow. I don't want one game to skew my opinion because I actually think the team can finish the season strong, so I likely won't have too much to say after this one.
