I guess TD is being traded to the 49ers?

Good Lord. Sherman, who acted as his own agent, only ended up with 3 million in guaranteed money. He basically signed for bottom-feeder starter money despite having several teams interested. What a motherfucking dumbass.

Hopefully this causes the media to stop gawking over how "intelligent" Richard Sherman is. Hire a god damn agent, you moron.

I think we have a legitimate shot at the playoffs. Plus, we typically own the Goats. Sherman is a good acquisition, especially at that price.

It's a deal I would have signed him to. An Achilles injury is very difficult to fully recover from. Jon Beason was still a solid starting linebacker, but he never regained the explosiveness that made him into an elite player. Sherman has given the Niners a very easy escape route.

That is never a good injury for anybody yet especially a 31 yo DB.

When I broke my leg at 11, I also partially tore my Achilles. Of course that was back in the day of no rehab - I was in a cast and then healed and cast off and that was it. But it was more then a year before I could run without having fairly significant pain for many strides. I would think that regardless of what sort of repair is performed there's going to be scar tissue and that does not act like muscle. It's just not very flexible.

The 49ers make a ton of sense from a football standpoint. Not Vin Diesel runs a similar, zone heavy scheme to Seattle. Presumably he's not going to be tasked with man coverage very often. Still, it's amazing that he didn't get more than 3 million in guaranteed money. DIY is a great and all, but there's some areas where you still need to rely on a professional.

I think it's all tied to his alpha type schtick personality. He certainly could have gotten a better deal.

BTW, goats are loading up on DB's because of Jimmy G.
